Hennessey Viper beats Bugatti Veyron 0-200mph
Viper Hennessey Venom 1000 Twin Turbo beat the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 in a 0-200mph race. ROAD and TRACK brought together the world’s speed kings including the Lamborghini Murciélago, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Porsche Ruf RT 12, Lingenfelter Corvette, Bugatti Veyron 16.4 and the Hennessey Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper.
But it was Venom vs Veyron that stole the show:
Hennessy managed 0-200mph in 20.3 seconds and Veyron in 24.2 seconds. While Bugatti’s awd accellerates it faster then Viper to a 1/4 mile, Hennessy leaves Veyron behind after that.

Hennessey Viper indirectly proves how stable the Veyron is from 0-200 mph compared to the rest. The Viper has made a serious compromise when attempting to go faster than the Veyron: the struggle to keep it on track (noticeable with the vibration of the body), its handling is still an issues as if the car is looking to kill the poor driver doing that test and the noticeable wheelspin. Meanwhile, the Veyron test driver did 0-200 mph with ease and even let his hand off the wheel showing how well designed the Veyron is. Despite being beating by the Venom, the Veyron can still go with honor as the 24 second is more impressive than a 20 second from the Venom mainly because its stability.
