Marco Melandri crashed at USA GP in California. This MotoGP crash at Laguna Seca happened during qualifications on Saturday. Melandri just set the second fastest time when Kurtis Roberts slowed unexpectedly ahead of him. The Italian rider swerved but clipped the back of the American and was sent spearing off-track at high speed. [crash]
