We don’t see WTCC 2007 crashes too often (World Touring Car Championship is similar to our Speed Touring Championship, where “daily rides” are raced such as BMW 3, SEAT Leon, Alfa Romeo and Chevrolet Lacetti).But last weekend, during training on Pau race track in France, BMW driver - Augusto Farfus had a spectacular crash while going through a chicane:

Swiping the barrier with the rear-end of his BMW 320si , Farfus proceeded to clip the grass verge, which in turn flipped him up against the tyres at the following chicane and turned him over. Landing on his roof, Augusto Farfus slid to a halt upside down … the Brazilian race driver came away unharmed!

What was even more amazing though, the Schnitzer boys rebuilt the car over night and Fartus won race 2!
